Wey Valley alumni Max Cocking Talks with Performing Arts Students
This week a group of Year 10 GCSE Art, Design and Graphics and a Performing Arts Music Year 9 group were privileged to be given a talk by ex-Wey Valley alumni Max Cocking. Max is an international model, freelance editor, writer and editor. He currently works as a creative editorial director at Dream Lab Studios , a creative studio building social first content for brands. Through his career he has been a Conde Nast magazine intern, worked as a fashion model, a creative producer for music videos and a consultant for brands such as Chanel, Google and Netflix.
During the session Max said ‘ I hope that the talk today will shed some light on accessing and working in the creative industries’. One student said ‘I really want a career in the fashion industry and Max has inspired me to unlock my potential’. Another student studying Music said ‘ the session has really made me think about the connection between modelling and music’. Mr Chutter, Head of Performing Arts and Teaching and Learning Challenge Lead, said ‘our thanks to Max for such an innovative presentation and for enabling our students to consider their future career choices within the industry’.
