Wey Valley Year 11 male students studying Sport were privileged to be given a talk by international sports events manager, adventurer, and writer Af Marseh. Af is also an alumni of the school. His career has seen him managing major events such as the Summer Olympic Games, FIFA International football matches, and the Special Olympics. Af's first book details his cancer journey after finding a tumour whilst working in Brazil. 

One student said 'this was a highly informative session that opened my eyes to health and wellbeing'. Another said 'Af was inspirational and I am going to read his book'. Mr Chutter, Head of Performing Arts, commented 'my thanks to Af Marseh for such an important workshop for our students here at Wey Valley Academy'.
